HDFC Bank Festive Treats – Upto 58% Cashback!!
Introduction
Diwali Season is approaching and credit card firms have started rolling out offers. HDFC Bank has begun with a bang and is currently offering an incredible 58% Cashback on smartbuy spends on Flipkart. This is an amazing offer and you should definitely check it out.
The Details
To avail this offer you need to go to the HDFC Bank SmartBuy Flipkart store (Link). This offer is only available till 6 December 2019. The best part about shopping with Flipkart is that you alway see the SmartBuy logo while shopping next to the search bar unlike amazon and it is less confusing and keeps your mind at ease (Screenshot below)
Once you are there on the Smartbuy Flipkart shopping portal simply make your payment using HDFC Bank Diners/Infinia credit card to get the usual 33% back as points (10x reward). In addition on minimum spends of INR 3000, you will earn INR 250 Cashback on your credit card and an additional INR 500 Cashback on paying with the HDFC Bank PayZapp app. Do remember to use Diners / Infinia credit card while initiating the payment using Payzapp. Let’s look at the calculations once.
- Total Spend = INR 3,000
- 10x Reward Points = 3,000/3 = INR 1,000
- Additional Cashback = INR 250
- Payzapp Cashback = INR 500
- Total Rewards = 1,000 + 250 + 500 = INR 1,750
- Total Reward Rate = 1,750/3,000 = 58.33%

Conclusion
This is simply an incredible promotion. 25% Cashback on debit card spends is unheard of. At the minimum every card offered by HDFC offers a minimum of 20% to a maximum of 48% Cashback on spends of INR 5,000. The reward rate increases as the spend goes closer to INR 3,000 and peaks out an incredible 58% for Diners Black and Infinia card holders. They have literally blown away competition with such an incredible offer. I have already made my purchase. Hurry as this offer is only available till 6 October 2019.

Hi Pavan,
Thanks a lot for your query. The definitions section of their page states that “The maximum Cashback a customer is entitled to on an aggregate basis from all the purchases transactions or events per month in INR 3,000”. That effectively means you can do this 4 times (Since the 10x reward points are not defined as Cashback).
You can see this in the third tab “Terms and Conditions” and scroll down to “Most Important Terms and Conditions” -> 13th bullet point.
