Let us look at an actual scenario. There is an upcoming long weekend on 31 Aug – 2 Sep and prices would be slightly higher for holiday destinations. Let us look at the standard prices shown on Tripadvisor for Taj Amritsar across multiple online travel agencies
The lowest price per night is approximately INR 11,136. When you visit the link provided above, the price for the same hotel and dates looks as per below.
In comparison the price per night including taxes is INR 7,700 which is almost 30% lower. The reduction is slightly higher due to applicability of a lower tax slab of GST (18%) when Room Rate is less than INR 7,500. Moreover, the room rate offers the same flexibility as other sites including Taj itself (Free cancellation 2 days prior to arrival). This will allow you to book tentative plans as well. The fare shown in TripAdvisor is for 2 nights. You have written it as it is for 1 night. Do check it brother

The rates on TripAdvisor are per night rates as well. I have simply used the two dates for the sake of comparison. So the actual fare will be 22,272 if you tried to book the room for 2 nights.
The fares have dropped now but here is a proper comparison
