HDFC Bank had given us all a devaluation scare in the first week of June and had then suddenly amended some of the changes making life a bit more easier for us. It seems they are constantly tinkering with their model. While most of us expect changes to be announced near the deadline (like 30 June 2019) for each promotion cycle, they seem to have silently amended their 10x partner list this time. A search for value in JP Miles Redemption – In Vain
With a stash of around 350,000 JP Miles, I was definitely tense due to the incoming bad news about Jet Airways on a daily basis. While Jet Privilege which runs the JP Miles program is a separate entity, I was still worried. An email from their CEO did calm the nerves but I knew I had to use these miles up quickly. HDFC Bank 10x Smartbuy Update
HDFC Bank Smartbuy has been renewed today for a period of 1 month till 30 June 2019. While this is welcome news for all Diners Club & Infinia credit card holders (33% Cashback anyone?), there has been a major devaluation impacting all of us. The earlier limit on Diners Black & Infinia was 25,000 Reward Points per calendar month which has now been devalued to 5,000 for Diners Black (80% devaluation in terms of maximum earning capacity) and 15,000 for Infinia (40% devaluation).
