Imagine a round trip business class ticket from any of the 7 cities in India to New Zealand in one of the best business class product in the world for only 93,000 Kris Flyer miles. In Fact Singapore Airlines is selling its own tickets for almost thrice the price if we value 1 KrisFlyer mile = 1 INR. If you have loads of Kris Flyer miles and are looking to travel in March 2019 it does not get any better than this.
What if you’ve not got enough miles in your account for this promotion ? There are a couple of things that you can still do
1. Buy Miles from Singapore Airlines – You need to have a minimum of 50% of the miles required for your travel. The balance 50% can be purchased at the rate of 40$ for 1,000 KrisFlyer miles which is an insane price to pay. It would make sense only if you have need to purchase a small amount to complete
2. Transfer your Diners Club Black Reward Points – Diners Club allows you to redeem Reward Points to KrisFlyer miles in a 1:1 ratio. An amazing 33% reward rate with 10x partners converted to KrisFlyer miles is the ultimate double dip I can think of.
3. Transfer your Amex Membership Reward Points – American Express allows you to transfer your membership reward points to KrisFlyer miles in a 2:1 ratio (2 MR = 1 KrisFlyer Mile)
Please note that transferring of points will usually take 3-4 business days and you need to account for the possibility of the limited seats having gone by the time the transfer takes place. Keep your travels flexible and if not, then you have 7 cities in India to chose from! An additional domestic flight in India would still be worth it.
